Michael Gilliam

Co-Founder, Michael Gilliam fell in love with aviation at a very young age and dreamed of becoming a professional pilot. Due to the lack of resources in his community he had no idea of how to accomplish this goal. Like many urban youth...

He believed he had to go to college to become a pilot.

Lacked funding and mentorship.

Didn't know about organizations to help individuals enter the career.

After high school he attended Tuskegee University for a short period before withdrawing due to the lack of a flight training program and other concerning circumstances. He immediately enrolled in a flight training program in Lawrenceville, GA where he began acquiring his flight ratings.  After completing a large portion of his flight training he had a setback that caused him to leave the program - he would not return for the next 5 years.

In March of 2013 Mike returned to the world of aviation enrolling in the flight academy “ATP”. After completing flight training, he was hired as a flight instructor at Falcon Aviation Academy in July of 2013.  On September 2, 2014 Mike finally accomplished his dream of becoming a professional airline pilot being hired by PSA Airlines (American Eagle).

Today Mike currently flies for the legacy carrier American Airlines making up to $25k per month. He not only loves what he does, but this career has changed the trajectory of his life and impacted the legacy he desires for his family.

Marcus Gilliam

Co-founder, Marcus Gilliam, developed a passion for people and service from a very young age. With little to no information on non-profits, he focused on the stereotypical means to making a living.  Like many urban youth...

He believed sports would be his claim to fame.

Lacked motivation and mentorship.

Didn't know about organizations or individuals in the nonprofit space.

In his role he provides oversight and management to over 50 grantees including local government, nonprofit organizations, and state agencies.
