The Southside Aviator Scholarship

Our efforts of launching the next generation of minority pilots start with us solving the biggest obstacle - lack of funding. The Southside Aviator's scholarship program will help fund flight training and certification for aspiring pilots, particularly minorities from underserved neighborhoods.

Eligibility Requirements

Age range: 18-32

Geographic Restrictions: Must be able to provide a U.S. address.

Must possess a valid, government-issued drivers license or ID.

Have or be able to obtain a valid passport with the ability to travel in and out of the US

Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. 

Pass a background check and drug test.

Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writng, and speaking English. 

Have a High School Diploma / GED equivalent.

Possess a FAA First Class medical certificate (physical).

Apply for Flight School Scholarship before application deadline.

Receive an invitation for interview, if approved.

Scholarship winner announcement and awarding: recipients will be notified via email with steps to accept and claim.
